About Us
Emma, is our 3-year-old daughter who was born with a facial nevus. As her mother and primary advocate, I have become a stay at home mom in order to best help us handle her care. Her father works in computers at a local university. His job provides us with good insurance and enough vacation time so that we can spend her surgeries recouping together. We consider ourselves very lucky.

The Drama of the Button Down Shirt
Posted by DELSINGER on Thursday, July 07, 2005 (02:41:23) (120 reads)
My daughter has two wardrobes - one set for expanders and another for everyday. Her everyday wear consists of, well, whatever we (edited)t to wear. Her tissue expansion wear consists of button down shirts and a couple of shirts that are elastic enough that I can pull them up over her bum. I?ve argued with several family members about my refusal to put shirts over her head. If you?ve looked at the pictures, I think most people would agree that I?d just prefer not to traumatize her any further by trying to shove her head through a shirt hole. And yes, I am scared to death of screwing anything up.
